Can you start a blog and get it up and running in only seven days?

I believe that you should take on new challenges and come out of your comfort zone whenever you have to do so , because , well just because it will make your life more fulfilled. Don’t get held back by anything. Don’t say ” I can’t do that because I am too old, too young or all the other excuses that people come up with for not doing things. I am not going to list them all because you all know exactly what I mean.

The latest project was to see if I could get a blog up and running in seven days. It had to be interesting , challenging and unique. For that reason I didn’t have a look at what other people do because I think that can tend to take away the spontaneous nature of something and it is too easy just to copy other people if you look at their work. For that reason I don’t suppose that you will have seen anything like this before.

To make the site more interesting I like to have photographs and some of you will have noticed that quite often the photographs have absolutely nothing to do with the blog. Well that is simply because I like taking photographs and I don’t really see why they should have to have anything to do with the story. It is just a dual aspect of what I am trying to achieve.

I put quite a lot of content in on the first seven days because if you don’t have a certain amount of content , nobody is going to spend much time there. I don’t tend to write a lot because most people nowadays have very short attention spans and that mainly applies to me.

The content will change over the weeks but , don’t forget this is just the first seven days.

Have I achieved the objectives? I would say definitely. I now have a colourful and annoying space on the web to develop. I did manage to get the top two listings on google if you ignore the one that someone paid for. If you can’t find the listings it is because with google they don’t always do what you want or expect but that does not change the fact that I did achieve that.

So , many of you that know me will wonder why certain interests have not appeared yet and that is simply because some of them need quite a lot of work to do properly.

If you think that I have done a good job , then think about challenging yourself in different ways. If you think that you could do better , give it a go. If you don’t try you won’t succeed and even if you make a complete mess of something if you have enjoyed the journey it can’t be deemed a failure.
