Firstly the nhs app which previously tracked five days before and now this will be reduced to two days. I wonder where the science was on that decision or did they just make a huge error in the first place and then when they realised that people who spend most of their lives in cabs on their own were unable to deliver food to the nation?
Secondly the 18-30 year olds that are not keen on the vaccine. Well they are right in thinking that generally they won’t get any personal benefit from it , but what happened to a responsibility to the human race. Why do so many people confuse choices for rights. Many things that are claimed to be rights are not actually rights , they are choices. You don’t have a right to drive a car in such a way that will endanger other people. Some people don’t even get that. They think that they have the right to steal a car and drive it in a dangerous fashion.
So they don’t think that they have any collective responsibility so now the government is looking at vaccinating children. This is probably quite a smart move. Herd immunity is not dependent on people of a particular age getting vaccinated and if the young adults won’t take the advantages of that on board maybe the younger people will do so.
Our kids have had their first Pfizer shot and will soon get their second. That way they’ll be ready to head back into the incubator when the school hols are over. Anyone who thinks schools and universities aren’t a superb breeding ground for new mutations has not been paying attention.
