The third Prime Minister in seven weeks , the monthly change of Chancellor , it has all been a bit turbulent, hopefully someone with an air of authority will calm the markets and our lives.
When you attempt to rectify an injustice it is a mistake to replace it with another injustice. We have had an interesting few years. Boris , a showman who managed to do some great things but ultimately let down by the things that he got wrong. Then we had a PM, who some people thought , was totally out of her depth and managed to cost us all a massive financial cost in just a few weeks. Hopefully the new PM will steady the ship and get us through the problems that we have to sort out.
I used to be surprised to see successful businesses run by people that appeared to be completely incompetent. There was a unifying factor in all these businesses . They all managed to arrange a team around them of people who were all better than them. People who arrange a team around them of people who are weaker than them are making a mistake, they just end up with a weak team.
Of course there is another situation that can arise. You can get a gifted person that arranges a gifted team around themselves and the results of that can be spectacular if you can manage it.
Let us hope that Rishi is the going to be the one that is in the latter category.
