After a disappointing game against USA , Gareth Southgate released secret weapons , Marcus Rashford and Phil Foden. A truly spectacular opening goal from Marcus shows him coming of age at only 23. He has clearly been training and working hard to get a skill like that. Phil Foden , a mere 21 years old shows that England are a force to be reckoned with. Jude Bellingham at 18 has already shown that he is the man to watch.
It is a properly blended team with the senior players including Harry Kane , Jordan Pickford and Jordan Henderson with many years left in them.
England look a different team , different class when they are on the attack. Fast flowing football that will terrify any opposition.
Full credit to Wales in the competition. A hard working team with new players coming through. Maybe they will get a bit further next time. More memorable still are their amazing supporters with the rainbow bucket hats. They should all be very proud.
