Generally in the uk things are pretty much leaked so there is nothing that usually makes a surprise entry. uk dot com has probably realised that politically if all adults had been offered two jabs before things were properly opened up they would be in a better position to restrict access to certain events on the basis of vaccinations. I would expect a further gradual reduction in restrictions until the powers that be think that we are as safe as we possibly be in a post covid world. Most people realise that we can do quite a lot already and after so much hardship waiting a little longer is probably worth it. The main problem now seems to be keeping new variants from other places getting into the country. Of course, the only long term solution is to vaccinate the world because nobody is properly safe until the whole world is safe. Not only is this the correct moral way forward but it is the only scientific way forward too.
