With so much going on in the world , sometimes you just have to escape to the peace and quiet of the north east coast.
Even the tourist type picture of the castle still gives you a sense of peace and calm and a refuge from our daily lives.
Of course some people do live here and there must be a real contrast in their lives when the outsiders go home which they must every day. This is the real difference that you find here. An island of two characters, the one for the people who live here contrasting with the hustle and bustle of people getting away from their busy lives.
I wonder what happened to make them think that this was a necessary sign.
Every village needs a post office and store.
More pubs than shops, or maybe that was just the impression that I got.
