The government has said from day one that the underlying principle in dealing with covid 19 is to protect the National Health Service. Javid is now admitting that the implication of this is that a certain level of hospitalisation and deaths are acceptable. So after over one year there is a politician who is actually saying out loud the elephant in the room. Maybe this is the way forward if you want to regain our freedoms and we have to accept the price that has to be paid. Could this be a change from the rules that apply when some animals are more equal than others.
