Will the sultans swing Newcastle United into a winning team or will they still be looking for a local hero asks Peter Cronin?

The Geordies will be celebrating the end of fourteen years of ownership by Mike Ashley tomorrow when they take on Spurs at St James park. The only thing on their mind is that they now are arguably the richest club in the world. Well maybe not the only thing on their minds while Steve Bruce is still the manager . With a win rate even worse than his time with local rivals Sunderland this is not what he would want as manager of the club that he supports.

A sell out crowd and a prime listing on sky tv this historic match will be seen throughout the world . Realistically Newcastle would normally be satisfied with a draw against a very capable side but due to events off the pitch it will be more than an average match in the Premier league and anything could happen.

Always dangerous to predict the outcome of a match like this but my prediction is a 2-2 draw a result that would probably have both teams happy.
