The great thing about going to a park in different times of the year is that you get a different experience every time. Maybe the most photographed thing in Jesmond Dene is the waterfall and it looks amazing at the moment following the heavy rain. Maybe it is not your favourite , so let me know in the comments which your special one.

Perhaps you prefer the old mill that you can see on the other side of the bridge. Once a working mill it has been partially restored and it looks awesome.

Not far away there is another bridge which you may not have found. It just looks like a magical place to me.

We do sometimes get sunshine in the North and this is one of the ways of getting into the dene.

This looks like a real postbox to me but I don’t think that I will be putting my mail in it anytime soon. Still it brightens up my day seeing things like this.

Well this is Newcastle and we say what we mean! Actually , I think that it is there so that the animals are not scared in pets corner.

A lot has been said about a famous Sycamore Tree , but if you open your eyes , there are great things to look at all around you.

A view of Armstrong Bridge . On the other side is a busy road that will take you into town or to the coast.

It never ceases to amaze me how many signs the council think we need to advise us.

The sign says “Access only to Fisherman’s Lodge”. I don’t believe that to be true anymore. There are great things to see down this path and sadly the lodge is no longer an attraction.

Fast flowing water is always great to see, it makes you feel alive.

It looks lovely but it also looks dangerous and very cold.

If you have come for the Fisherman’s Lodge you will be sadly disappointed . Used to be a great place to go for a meal.

You can imagine the sound of the water gushing past even though this is just a photograph.

Another bridge in the dene but this one looks pretty safe to walk on.

Jesmond Dene road which has had better days and you can see the mark of the town planners everywhere you go in Newcastle.

Maybe a deceptive picture of the Banqueting Hall which is actually a ruin if you look at it from the other side.
I hope that you have enjoyed looking at the Dene in Autumn . Please let me know which one’s are your favourites in the comments and if there is anywhere that you think I should visit let me know that as well.
That looks lovely
