Whatever your persuasion I wish you well but I am not doing ” Happy Holidays ” , political correctness often masks an excuse to be politically incorrect.
It is not time to do a review of the year but I can do a review of Christmas. Everything different to last year when we were on plan B , face masks , NHS covid passes , still a lot of people feeling uncomfortable among strangers in particular.
We are now in the new normal, or is it the old normal. Whatever happened to stay at home if you are ill, don’t just man up and spread your diseases regardless. Maybe we are back to the ancient times when you spread the illness to get it over with?
So what else is new? A new King , a partly political King’s Speech. No longer the Queen’s Speech but I think the scriptwriters are probably the same. Putin’s evil war against the free world. The cost of living crisis caused by Putin’s financial war and of course brexit. The awful World Cup is over , seriously , nobody should die for a football event.
Change is the only constant in life , good times , bad times , these things are always with us. I think that this Christmas we should celebrate the fact that many of us are seeing friends and family that we may not have seen so much of in the last three years. I wish all the best to you and yours.
