Well done to England , they did well but to be honest we would not have wanted to win the World Cup the year that it was in Qatar. The empty victory will probably go to France . I did give in and watch a few matches but it was a bit of a watching with fingers crossed type of viewing. So the upside is that as I was only really watching England the cup is well and truly over for me. I expect France to win but you can never bet against Messi.
Probably a good time to try and get some consistency with referee decisions and the VAR. We went very close to winning but give us four years and with further development of the team we are in with a chance.
One of the bright sides of the competition this time was the fact that the world is pretty much levelled up on football. England and the other old teams have no right to win matches now and it has to be done on merit.
Not happy with quite a few of the FIFA decisions . I suppose it won’t be long before the bulldozers move in at Qatar. Sport does not need to be bought by the biggest buck. At least it is over now.
