Many of you won’t remember 9|11 but if you were alive then it was one of those times in life that you will never forget.
Peter Cronin was in a hotel on a training course. A tower block hotel in the north east of England and the news broke through of what was happening in America. There was an element of disbelief that someone would do such a thing and as time went by the question of why anyone would.
Twenty years later I still don’t know why it happened. I know how it changed the world. Increased security , bins removed from the streets , more awareness of life but also a strong sense that life would have to go on despite increased risks. If you don’t have a great life gaining experiences there is not much point. Ironically , something we all are feeling again after being attacked by a different type of enemy.
Big Brother USA. did what it always did at the time and sensing a threat from terrorists based in Afghanistan sent the troops in with resources and training for the foreign army. Nothing seems to have changed in the last twenty years apart from things getting worse and Biden decides to pull out. I think that Biden is probably a good man but maybe a bit naive as to the consequences of his actions.
